Robert
S. "Bob" Thompson graduated Oklahoma State University in 1963 with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He obtained a
Masters Degree in
Aerospace Engineering in 1969. He joined the United States Air force as pilot in 1963 and
flew with the Air force until 1970 when he joined the Texas Air National Guard. He retired
from the Guard in 1990 having achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel.
In 1979 he was elected to the City Council of San Antonio where he served six
consecutive terms until 1992. In 1973 he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from St.
Mary’s University School of Law. He was licensed
to practice by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1973,
by the United States District Court for the Western District of
Texas in 1975 and by the 5th
Circuit United States Court of Appeals in 1995. He is also licensed to practice before the
United States Supreme Court.
His primary areas of practice include: Family Law, Criminal Law, Real
Estate Law, and Consumer Law.
